We Can Make Your Home Shine So Much Your Friends, Family, and Neighbors Will Get Suspicious

Standard cleaning keeps the dust and dirt from taking over. We do this all over Southern Utah.

Washington, Santa Clara, Ivins and everywhere in between. A standard visit can be weekly, biweekly, or monthly.

In Winchester Hills where I live, everyone ends up in the kitchen. Same thing in Desert Color. So, at First Impressions Home and Office Cleaning we spend extra time cleaning the whole kitchen, top to bottom. We use eco-friendly products on anything that needs help. You’ll definitely see a big difference when we’re done.

All dusted and cleaned areas will be spotless. Including ceiling fans, vents, and tops of doors that most people forget to do. Then on to the living room and any room that has carpeting or rugs. When we vacuum, the carpets will look fresh again. If there’s no carpeting or rugs, the floors will be brought to a nice shine.

Personal Story:

The very first home I ever cleaned was a disaster. The saying goes in business: "First is Worst."

The family was a single dad and three kids.

The home was a total mess with clothes washed and unwashed everywhere.

The guy had a shopping addiction and was a horder. He'd buy stuff and let it sit around. Sometimes the boxes went unopened.

The kitchen was always gross. Dishes and rotting food in the sink and on the counters.

He kept a "junkyard dog" in the garage. This was in Phoenix so eventually the dog died of heat stroke.

The son wet the bed all the time, even though he was around 10.

The dad ran a transmission repair place. He would accept stolen goods in exchange for payment. At one point he had at least 4 VCR's in a closet.

He paid me a lot of money weekly but eventually I managed to quit. I was easily able to replace the income.

I was going to try to find a picture to put here, but decided the whole thing was too sad.

Housekeeping by First Impressions House Cleaning Is for When Life Laughs at Your House Cleaning Tasks

When people are busy working or when they have free time, housework is usually at the bottom of the list. That’s when housekeeping comes in. We can load the dishwasher and hand wash those items that can’t go in it. We’ll put it all away from that big party you had the night before. Folding laundry, picking up toys left in the living room, or cleaning up after family visits is no problem. We get it done.

Regularly using a housekeeper in downtown St. George keeps things from getting out of hand.

Standard Cleaning House Cleaning Is for When You’d Rather Do Literally Anything Else

Even with regular cleaning, every home needs a deep clean twice a year.

    • Run the oven clean cycle.
    • Clean the oven racks.
    • Clean under the stove.
    • Clean the fridge and freezer.
    • Vacuum window tracks.
    • Clean baseboards.
    • Wipe door frames.
    • Deal with pet hair. Lots of it.

And much more. You decide.

A good Article From Goodhouse Keeping Magazine - 10 Myths Cleaning Pros wish you’d stop believing

Here are three of the 10 that jumped out at me:

1.  More cleanser is better. Nope, more cleanser, whatever type, may end up leaving residue. More residue: a better chance of dirt sticking to what you cleaned.

2.  If it looks clean it is clean. The article mentions kitchen counters and I can vouch for that.

I have to use a razor blade scraper on our kitchen counters to first remove the hard stuck on debris. After that I can clean as normal. If I really want to go crazy I can do a very wet, soapy scrub on the counter. I follow this scrub up with a drying and then I use a window cleaner polish to polish the counters. Now the kitchen counters are clean.

3. Sponges are always packed with bacteria. This only depends on how often your sponges are cleaned. My thought is that you can buy kitchen sponges on Amazon for pennies. You could literally use a sponge once, throw it away and that would only cost .35 cents. My mom used to use sponges until they stank bad of bacteria. This was very odd to me.

[Problem] Dust setting right after cleaning

So I just cleaned my whole apartment. I cleaned my work place table especially using normal cleaning items with hot water. Everything was fine for about 3h. Now I just tested with my hands and moved along the table - about 1m - and there was already a layer of dust.

How does this happen? I would need to clean every day with the dust setting down so fast.

Answer: (rhiaaryx)

If you have a ceiling fan, was it running? Did you clean it?

If not, I've found some dusting techniques work better than others. Feather dusters/their modern replacements seem to just lift the dust into the air. I use microfiber cloths, which seem to work better since they trap the dust.

It's also possible that your apartment's vents need to be cleaned, or the furnace filter (if the heat's running) needs to be replaced. If it's full of dust it can't filter out dust, so the heating system is just pumping it right back into the air.
