Deep Cleaning for Homes That Need More Than a Quick Tidy

What about Deep House Cleaning?

Last summer, I got a call from a family in the Little Valley area who couldn’t keep up with the house cleaning. Dust on counters. Dirt stuck in vents. Sticky floors. They told me, “We need someone who does real deep cleaning, not a quick wipe.”

Deep House Cleaning in St. George is challenging. People are busy. Our older clients just might not have the get up and go to clean their homes. People want clean homes. Not "don't look too close clean." Deep clean-clean.

Well, "Ta Da!" here we are to save the day.

Read on to let me explain how deep cleaning works in St. George,

We don't do deep cleaning very often. It can take hours and alot of elbow grease. We've rolled up our sleeves and have done some deep cleans in Sunriver, Bloomington Hills, and west to Entrada.

When we deep clean we run into (not literally!) sticky baseboards, hard water stains and spots on shower glass, dust hiding in weird places like the underwear drawer.

Below are some samples of deep style cleaning we do.

Moving Related Cleaning

It seemed like just yesterday  I did a move out clean in Hurricane for a property manager. The home was huge. There was bugs, dust dirt and who know what everywhere. It took 3 days to get that home ready to re-rent. That what deep moving cleaning is all about.

Moving is messy, sweaty, and dusty and the very last thing you want to do is clean the place you are moving out of (unless you want get into another argument...then by all means, clean).

When I get phone calls about deep moving cleaning what I really hear under what their saying is:

  • “We need the deep clean done so we don’t lose our deposit.”
  • “We don’t want to end up scrubbing cabinets at midnight.”
  • “The carpets and floors look bad, bad, bad now that the furniture is out.”

Our Moving Related Cleaning covers the big deep cleaning work that needs to be done.

We clean haunted houses, rentals, townhomes, Airbnbs, second homes, offices (We've had to move out of an office. It's common.

Moving (Deep) Cleaning Tasks we handle:

  • Deep scrub kitchens (inside cabinets, drawers, behind an under the fridge, inside and under the oven. (So many uneated Cherrios."
  • Clean stinky bathrooms
  • This is difficult: remove hard water stains from showers. Sometimes we wonder when the shower was last cleaned. Ugg.
  • Baseboard scrubbing (Oh joy)
  • Dusting vents, fans, high spots
  • Wipe down walls where it makes sense (almost never. Better to paint).
  • We clean floors that maybe haven't seen a mop since the last renters moved in.

People moving to Little Valley, Desert Color, or the new spots by the Airport always say the same thing: “We didn’t realize how much dirt was hiding until the furniture left.”

That’s what deep cleaning is all about.

Spring Cleaning

Every spring (Is it spring already?), right when the mornings get warm , home owners call and say things like:  “The dust is winning. Please send help!” We're the "First Responers of Cleaning."

Spring Cleaning in St. George is different from other places (there's a blanket statement if I've ever heard one) because:

  • Dust gets in window tracks and window sills, and the cobwebs that needed to be removed last summer.
  • Hard water stains on shower glass grow faster than a speeding bullet.
  • Pollen from the desert plants builds up on everything. (I've never seen this but ok...")

My mom used to tell me when I was a kid, “The house looks clean but feels dirty." Maybe it was all the unfinished laundry.

That’s the vibe people get. Deep cleaning fixes it because we clean the parts you pretend don’t exist.

Some stuff we do when we deep clean:

  • Wipe window sills, tracks, frames
  • Dusting the tops of cabinets and fans (now all that dust is all over the house. You're welcome).
  • Scrubbing toilets. Yep we clean really dirty toilets
  • Cleaning baseboards and trim
  • Deep floor cleaning (tile, wood, vinyl, dirt, and straw)
  • Kitchen deep cleanin including the oven and the fridge.

We also help folks in Sunriver who want their home freshened after winter visitors leave ("Get out! Just get out! I gotta clean this place"). We've helped people in Washington Fields deal with dust from construction.

Deep House Cleaning in St. George keeps the home feeling lighter and fresher.

Emergency Cleaning

This one is big. Every year we get calls like:

  • “My in-laws are pulling into the driveway.” (By then it's probably too late.)
  • “The dog knocked over the trash.” Bad Dog!
  • “We had a leak. Its been fixed but now the place is a mess. Help!"
  • “Someone got sick in the guest room.” That's not good.
  • “We got a last-minute short-term rental check-in.”

A lady in Green Springs once said, “My house looks like a tornado went through” She laughed but also kinda cried (well, maybe sobbed a bit). Our Emergency Cleaning is for those moments.

Emergency cleaning doesn’t mean your house is trashed. It just means you need a deep cleaning fast.

When you call about an emergency clean, we look at what you need most first:

  • Fast kitchen reset
  • Bathroom deep cleaning
  • Floors vacuumed and mopped
  • Trash taken out
  • Wipe down doors, knobs, switches
  • Spot cleaning walls
  • Clean the guest bedrooms
  • Pet mess cleanup (the safe kind we are able to handle)
  • And anything else you need done.

We’ve cleaned homes in Desert Color right before a surprise family visit.

We've cleaned Offices on Bluff St. when the regular cleaner didn't show. We've cleaned college apartments by Dixie State when something “unexpected” happened. (How do they pack so many students into one apartment?)

Deep House Cleaning emergencies happen. Life happens. Then we show up to lower the stress level.

Why Deep House Cleaning Matters So Much in St. George

People don’t always say “deep cleaning.” They say stuff like:

  • “My house feels dusty all the time.”
  • “My shower walls look white but not clean.”
  • “My baseboards look old.”
  • “There’s always something sticky on the counters.”
  • “It sometimes feels like I’m never caught up.”

When Washington homes and offices go a while without real deep cleaning, they start to feel tired. Even if they look clean. (the “rose-colored glasses” affect.”)

Common issues we see:

  • Hard water build-up in bathroom showers
  • Dust on ceiling fans
  • Dirt in sliding door tracks
  • Sticky or stained kitchen cabinets
  • Floors that look dull even when swept
  • Hair in weird spots (Let’s not go there)
  • Smudges on doors and walls
  • Vents with layers of dust

A deep clean resets the home or office back to that “ahhh this feels nice” feeling.

Local Neighborhood Cleaning Tips

Here’s stuff we’ve picked up over the years from cleaning all over the St. George area:

1. Little Valley Dust

Homes here get dusty fast, especially in Washington Fields because of the never-ending construction. Clean window tracks and sills every month if you can.

2. Bloomington Hills Hard Water (hardwater is everywhere in the area)

Hard water in showers builds up fast. A squeegee used after each shower will help.

3. Sunriver Visitor Turnover

Grandkids visiting means more deep cleaning of bathrooms and kitchens.

4. Offices On or Near Bluff St.

Foot traffic brings in dirt from sidewalks. Floors need more attention.

This is real stuff we see every day doing Deep House Cleaning during St. George jobs.

What Makes a Deep Cleaning “Deep”

A lot of people ask, “What’s the difference between regular cleaning and deep cleaning?” It’s how they’re spelled. Kidding.

Simple answer: deep cleaning gets the things you rarely touch.

Regular cleaning:

  • Wipe counters
  • Quick vacuum
  • Quick bathroom tidy

Deep cleaning:

  • Scrub baseboards
  • Detailed dusting especially in areas not seen too often
  • Hard water removal
  • Sanitize high-touch areas like light switches
  • Detail bathroom corners
  • Clean inside appliances when asked
  • Floors washed more carefully

People call us when when life gets overwhelming.
